Ushering in the next era of growth!
When Nick, Pat and I started Barefoot Networks, I took on the role of CEO but talked about a time when I will want to pass on the reins to a leader who can take our company to the next level of growth. We built an amazing team, recently closed a stellar Series C, built technology that is an engineering marvel and we’ve even delivered our products to multiple customers in record time.
We are now embarking on a new phase for our company. As demand for our technology ramps and we continue to scale to meet the growing need for our products, I believe this is the right time to bring in an executive and a visionary like Craig Barratt to take on the role of CEO.
Craig is a technologist at heart and has extensive experience building and growing lasting products and teams. Craig most recently was the CEO for Alphabet’s Access business. Prior to Alphabet and Google, he served as the President of Qualcomm Atheros. He was the President and CEO of Atheros from 2003 through its IPO in 2004 and acquisition by Qualcomm in 2011.
We are delighted to have Craig on-board and are looking forward to delivering our current and future products at scale, enabling fundamental disruption to the networking industry. I will be transitioning to the role of VP of Technology focusing on aligning the current and emerging technologies to our future products. I will be working closely with our technology partners as well as customers and help define and guide our roadmap.
I am looking forward to this new role, continuing to drive the innovations that create the magic that we are delivering to the technology industry!
